Togwotee Tanager

Western Tanagers are very beautiful, showy birds. We have a few around Sundance, but they’re not common here. Western Wyoming has quite a few more. I found this bird in Sunlight Basin near Chief Joseph Highway, and I wanted to put him in iconic Wyoming scenery, so I added the view from the overlook above Togwotee Mountain Lodge toward the Tetons in the background. Beautiful birds and beautiful scenery: just another aspect of Wyoming that I love.
