Black bears are interesting critters. They need to be respected, yet they are not as intimidating as a grizzly bear. They can be elusive at times but curious and nearly tame at others. Black bears are primarily nocturnal, yet I have seen them grazing in a field at noon.  These great critters God designed are a treat to experience (from a distance, that is).
